Industry background:
Ceramic mold casting& nbsp;& nbsp;& nbsp; Ceramic mold casting is a method of obtaining castings by pouring molten metal into ceramic molds. It is a precision casting developed on the basis of sand casting and investment casting& nbsp; 1、 Basic process; 1. Manufacturing of ceramic molds& nbsp;& nbsp;& nbsp;& nbsp;& nbsp;& nbsp; There are two manufacturing methods for ceramic molds: one is the ceramic mold filled with all ceramic slurry, as shown in Figure 2.11a); The other type is a ceramic mold with a bottom cover. The bottom cover can be a sand cover, as shown in the figure, or a metal cover. The metal sleeve is durable and provides stable dimensional accuracy for castings, making it suitable for mass production of castings.2. & nbsp; Baking and Boxing of Ceramic Shapes& nbsp;& nbsp;& nbsp; Before pouring, the ceramic mold should be roasted at 350-550 ℃ for 2-5 hours to remove residual ethanol and water, and further enhance the strength of the ceramic mold& nbsp; 3. & nbsp; Pour molten metal and obtain castings after solidification& nbsp; 2、 Characteristics and Applications of Ceramic Mold Casting; 1. & nbsp; The dimensional accuracy of castings is high, and the surface roughness is low, which is similar to investment casting castings& nbsp; 2. & nbsp; It can produce large precision castings, weighing up to ten tons& nbsp; 3. & nbsp; Low investment and short production cycle& nbsp; 4. & nbsp; Due to the grouting process, it is not suitable for producing castings with large batches, light weight, and complex shapes, and the process is difficult to achieve mechanization and automation& nbsp;& nbsp;& nbsp;& nbsp; Due to the above characteristics, ceramic casting has become an important method for casting large thick walled and precision castings. For example, casting dies, forging molds, glassware molds, die-casting molds, and templates can greatly save processing time and can also be used to produce medium-sized precision steel castings& nbsp;
